Suddenly I saw two mice running in the grass. They weren„t field mice, they were hamsters. I
felt sorry for them because they could mortally freeze; therefore I decided to take them home
with me. At first it was fun to watch how they play but after a fortnight they were not two
anymore, they were 8! A huge family caused lots of problems. Ineffectively, I tried to find
owners for them. Luckily, one day when my dad returned from work he said that he had found
an owner for all the hamsters. It was such a relief. And now I feel like I„ve done something
good no matter if they are just hamsters.

It happened when I was 6 years old on a lovely sunny summer day. I was living in the village
with my parents. They knew that I wanted to have my own bicycle, because I did not have one.
I had to ride my brother„s bicycle, although it was too big for me. That day my parents had to
go to Vilnius, so I stayed with my grandmother. When they came back I saw a big box in the
car, but I did not realize what it was. Later that evening my dad took that box out of the car and
said that it was for me. When I opened it I saw a beautiful bicycle inside. I was so happy that I
started to jump around it. It was the magical moment of my childhood.

It was my birthday morning… the day started as usual. It was Sunday and honestly I didn‟t
expect anything. I went to the shower and when I came out my family started singing “Happy
Birthday”. A cake, candles, flowers, big smiles and much attention - I was very happy. Later
somebody rang the doorbell. When I answered the door, I saw an envelope on the floor. I
opened it and found a letter with a request: in two hours I was to go outside and take some
warm clothes. When I left home three of my friends had been waiting for a short time. They
blindfolded me and drove me somewhere. When we arrived at some place I saw other friends
of mine and……. karts. Kart racing had been my dream since childhood. We raced and after
that they blindfolded me again and drove to a grange. What I found there was a special cake,
flowers, candles, presents. Finally, we went to Trakai, one of the most beautiful towns in
Lithuania. We sailed a pedalo and had a great time together. It was the greatest day of my life.

When I was small, I wanted to visit Paris very much. I thought that my dream would never
come true. But two years ago, for my birthday, my parents presented me with an envelope.
When I opened it, I was very surprised and pleased. In the envelope there were three tickets
to France. It was a trip for our family for five days and all these days were magical!

I always wanted to have a pet. A friend. Someone who would always be with me. But my
parents didn't want to buy a pet for me. We never stay at one place for more than 3 months.
Every 3 months we travel from Ukraine to Germany. And a pet would have been a real
problem. In Ukraine we lived in a small flat. There wasn't enough space for a dog, or a cat.
Some years ago we moved to a private house. I still hoped my parents would buy me a pet.
One Christmas night, when I was returning home from my friend, I saw a little black-white ball
in the snow. It wasn't a stone and it began approaching me... When I got closer to it, I saw a
little cat. It was trembling, because it was really cold. I couldn't let him stay out in that snow. I
took it home. When my mother returned home and saw this beautiful little cat, we decided to
keep it. This was really a magical moment for me! I will never forget that Christmas. And now I
have a real friend. We call the cat Kroha. And he is a member of our family.
